Christmas in August

Starting on Sunday, August 1, 2010, look for the Christmas Tree provided by the Education Committee and Central Cares.

They are teaming together for CUMC’s Christmas in August event.

We have 30 children from our Central Cares families who we are trying to send back to school with the needed school supplies and a book bags.

There are so many options for anyone that would like to assist these children.

You can take a school supply list provided by the school for a child showing what you need to for school supplies.

You can take individual Apples off the tree for items.

You can give money for someone else to shop for the needed supplies.

Sarah Dull and Christy Gerringer really couldn't believe the amount of items on some of the students’ lists!

Our goal is for everyone to participate.

We need the Women’s Circles, UMW, UMM, and Sunday School classes, etc., all included and participating.

Please make sure to stop by the tree and help our children prepare for their education this Fall!!
